Learn How to Properly Stop Uncontrolled Bleeding
Uncontrolled bleeding is among the leading causes of preventable death. That is why it is important to know how to respond and provide immediate assistance in cases in which bleeding is severe.
In our Stop the Bleed classes, our Stop the Bleed national instructor will show you different steps in controlling severe bleeding so you will know what to do should an emergency arise.
What You Will Learn
Direct Pressure
We will show you how to use your hands to slow bleeding by applying direct pressure to the wound.
Packing a Wound
We will give you experience properly packing a wound, which can be crucial in controlling bleeding.
Applying a Tourniquet
In our classes, you will learn what a tourniquet is and the proper way to apply one to a bleeding arm or leg.
